    Great hiking!! Never saw so much Mountain Laurel in my life, can't imagine what it is like when in bloom. Every part of out hike was fun, interesting, and just beautiful! One section of the trail we took was not marked all that great, we were on the right path but not absolutely sure, had to literally crawl thru brush along the water's edge, and finally found a blaze to show we were actually right, but for me that is half the fun - working and tracking as opposed to a marker on every other tree. We would have loved a hike longer than 2 1/2 hours, but we had to get back to break down camp over at Locust Lake. Will definitely come back though!!

    This park has a pretty lake that's quiet for canoes or kayaking. (no motors). Great trails too.

    We enjoy picnicking here. There are lots of picnic tables with small grills, clustered here and there between the trees to give some privacy; also some pavilions. The smaller children enjoy the playground; the older ones, hiking the trails. Several years ago we with extended family, stayed in the yurts (we had all four of them) and enjoyed it very much.
