This is an out of the way park with many picnic tables in the woods surrounding a large lake. There are many trails that I hope to explore when the ice melts off of the trails The park also features a nice playground for the youngsters. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is also a heated restroom as part of the visitors center. I am not sure if they allow overnight camping. I did see at least one boat ramp with ample parking.
This is a great natural park and recreational area. There is plenty to explore all year round. Lovely views and nice hikes. In summer, you can rent a boat or other seasonal devices and get an entirely different perspective. There are even cabins and yurts available for camping rental.
