(March 6, 2019, 6:52 pm)Went walking today in the snow. Trails have been super well prepared. If I lived here I would buy a pair of cross country skis and be out there everyday. The trail around the lake is relatively flat. Beautiful.

(January 8, 2019, 2:17 pm)Great piece of woods. Hiking, row and soft motor boating rentals, camping, fishing, and other fun things. Not private but not crowded either. One time, my wife and I rented a rowboat and had the whole lake to ourselves.

(December 12, 2018, 8:59 am)Get in a kayak and explore. The park is located near more tourist-trap locations, but the benefit is that the park is accessible. If you're camping along the lake, beware: it can be windy. Hiking options are a little limited, but the trails that are there are well-maintained, perhaps too much so. They're essentially walking paths in the woods. That's what some people are looking for, others not so much.
