  Anne is amongst the best ANYwhere, and we’re lucky enough to have her in Honesdale! Did you know (I didn’t) that your doctor doesn’t have to “prescribe” physical therapy? He/she doesn’t! I’ve had a multitude of issues (neck pain and limited mobility... where my stress lives; hip popping, and painful shoulders from an injury in college) that I continually have to try to work around. It causes headaches, trouble driving, trouble working, and trouble exercising. I can’t even hug someone without a decent amount of pain anymore. I’d finally “had enough” and was determined to at least chip away with an issue at a time. I called Anne (because I’ve always heard from her industry peers in the community how knowledgeable she is) to ask who I should call...massage therapist, orthopedist... she said, “come in and see me.” I said, “but I haven’t seen a doctor so I don’t have an order for PT.” Ah ha! Didn’t need one. My first appointment lasted about 90 min and consisted of an A-to-Z THOROUGH exam. She asked me questions no other medical professional ever has. She called my insurance company and determined I was eligible for X amount of appointments within a year. Knowing my work (seasonal centric) wouldn’t allow me the time to visit her throughout the summer, she prioritized the order of what to tackle when (fixing one problem first has naturally helped some of my other issues), and we divided my available time accordingly. Wow! She reallllly knows her stuff. Old school techniques coupled with cutting edge research and advancements in some of the devices and software she uses has left me SO impressed (impressed enough to write a review, which is rare for me, but this one is more than deserved.) Every so many appointments, you’ll get another evaluation and be able to see objective results (on top of just feeling better, I actually got to see big jumps in degrees of angles of mobility.) I’ve never made greater progress doing anything else. She does functional taping on athletes, cupping for muscular blood flow (you’ve gotta try it!), and has a paraplegic client she works with frequently. She’s personable and a joy to talk to. The appointment time flies by. Her demeanor is so relaxed but yet, uber professional. Her office location is right in the center of town (diagonally behind Tractor Supply), so it’s super convenient. All these words^ later, and I still can’t say enough good. I’d happily travel quite a distance to see her as my PT, but fortunately we don’t have to. Dr. Thumann is top notch care in our tiny corner of the world, and I’m so appreciative she chose to open her business here. I recommend her to you. If you needed a sign to take care of yourself, this is it ????

  Treatment is individualized to the patient; you never feel like you're getting a cookie cutter therapy program. Each session has been tailored to my needs and energy levels on that particular day and I can clearly see the improvements with the Blood Flow Restrictive Therapy. It's been a great addition to my training program. An incredible asset for Wayne County athletes.
