Steve is the best...Very thorough and stands behind his work...
I have been a customer of Performance Auto for years. I originally went there when I moved back to New Kensington after years of being away, because I knew the owner, Steve...we went to school together "back in the day."
That was 15 years and 3 cars ago. I have been a regular customer ever since because they offer excellent service at a fair price, and I can honestly say that the vast majority of times, my car was done when they said it would be. When you find a good mechanic, you stick with them.
Linda and Melanie are the ladies you will deal with at the front counter. Both are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They will not recommend replacing a part if a repair job is all that's needed. Nor will they take on a repair job that isn't worth the owner's time and money.
Personal experience, my vehicle had a buzzing/whining noise under the hood. It also had 198k miles on it. They both told me upfront that they could poke around in there, but that there was no guarantee that they'd be able to fix the problem, and besides that, even if they could, I was looking at a rather large bill. Their advice was to keep driving the car until either a) I got to where I couldn't stand the noise anymore I couldn't, or b) the performance of the car started to suffer, and at that point, get a new car...that's exactly what I did.
I cannot recommend Performance Auto Service highly enough.
We've been customers of Performance Auto for years and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs general maintenance or repairs. Their front office staff (Melanie and Linda) are knowledgeable and friendly. We know when we pick up our vehicle we can leave with confidence in the work & safety of a job well done!

I recommend Performance highly for your top notch car care. As soon as I walk in the door I felt a caring professional atmosphere. My truck runs smoother than ever no more brake or traction issues my truck runs absolutely fantastic.
