  The instructor is very clear and concise when explaining the skills necessary for a student to become successful. He listens well to ensure that questions asked by students are answered and understood and also asks "what went well" and "what went wrong" after each session to further reinforce learning. He is also personable and takes the element of anxiety out of the complex nature of learning how to dive. Also, the provided equipment is well maintained. If you want to learn how to dive and make your first experience a pleasurable one, I would highly recommend Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures!

  What a great weekend of Diving with Larry! We dove a nice range of dive sites with him, from shallow reef to intermediate and some night dives. He is well organized and you always feel comfortable and at ease diving with him.

  Larry does a great job of making sure you are comfortable in the water and have the knowledge and skills for success before you take your certification dives in open water. He is flexible with scheduling and will work with you to see you have all the instruction time you need. I look forward to diving with him post-certification and would highly recommend him as a scuba instructor.

  Larry does a great job meeting students where they are - both with their skill and confidence levels. A great instructor delivering a great instruction experience.

  I have always been overwhelmingly interested in diving, but I have long been afraid, too, of all of the “what-ifs” that could go wrong! I finally reached the point in my life when I was ready to learn. I asked a million questions before starting lessons, and a million questions during, and Larry (the owner of Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures) never once lost patience, helping me to gain confidence and knowledge throughout my NAUI Open Water course. I just completed my open water certification course with Larry, and I truly cannot say enough good about him or his course. I would suggest that anyone else local looking for lessons look no further than Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures. And, for those not local, classes with him are well worth the trip!
  
  Larry is an expert, of course, as one would expect of an instructor. More than that, though, he went above and beyond in all areas: he was patient, safety-focused, fun, creative, and flexible. He was completely committed to each of us students, and he helped me to feel confident and patient with myself—two things I most certainly did not feel when it came to diving! Even the training dives, in a local quarry that was a little chilly and remote, were a blast with Larry. We had two amazing days together, and I felt like I was part of a family as we dove together, learned together, and even picnicked together. Having spoken to many, many others who have their OW certification, I have come to realize that Larry provides a unique, unparalleled experience in learning to dive safely. I can't wait to take more courses with him!
