Parking is tricky here. Definitely a good spot to hike up along the water and see the falls. The blue trail then has switchbacks up the hill and has some lookouts up there as well.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the the beauty of these waterfalls in York county. The trail to the falls is relatively easy and would be great for children and pets. The falls are great to visit any time of the year.

Very nice trail! I was pleasantly surprised by the creek spilling down the side of the mountain. In addition, a few sections of moderate switchbacking made the hike more challenging than expected, which was nice. The winter views were very nice, as the bare trees let you see a lot more of the Susquehanna.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to walk and hike. We went the day after a snow with our two dogs, and really enjoyed the scenery. There are numerous paths to choose from, and they were easy to follow. Some trails were a little narrow or had steep drop offs to one side, so exercise caution if you have a pup that pulls too much or small kids. We couldn't do parts of the trails because it was slick and our pup isn't fully trained at 8 months old. Had we been alone, the trails would have been fine. Scenery includes lovely ruins of buildings, canals, and stone walls with ivy and moss growing on them, many small streams with cascading falls, a lovely view of the river with stony islands in the middle, and woods. There are also picnic areas available, though the parking lot adjacent to it is closed in the winter. You can still park further down and walk though. Some areas have a lot of garbage that has washed ashore during the flooding this season as well. Parking and admittance is free. Overall, a beautiful spot to visit.

A beautiful, short trail leads to a group of small cascades named the mill creek falls.

We went for a stroll around the Susquehanna Valley and came across this beauty by chance. Best part of the place is, one can take a quick dip in the cool water and depending on the flow can sit under on E and get a bit of the natural jet massage for yourself too.

If you are around the valley area, add it to your to do list. One can park your car near the trail. The place is not crowded at all, so you can get your parking spot, your secluded trail, your own nature, your own waterfall. Perfect life!!
