  My daughter loves this barn especially Sunny the miniature horse. Carly has be great with my daughter over the years. She is patient and caring. Carly continues to strive and build her business. She still takes lessons herself, expanding her knowledge and passing it on to a younger generation.

  Whether you are considering getting into riding as an adult, or as a sport for your children, I highly recommend Summerset Stables. On a scale of one to ten, this place is a twenty. Picture a family run business, with a friendly, “judgment free zone” feel, perched in the hills of Dillsburg which provide the most amazing view you could ask for between the two ears of a horse of course!
  
  Do you wish you could unplug your children and add an outdoor activity into their screen driven lives? I know I was certainly looking for that for our family. The barn gives us a place to enjoy the outdoors and have fun as a family, under Carly’s careful supervision with safety always top of mind. I see lesson students ranging from age 6- 60 and notice every single one having a uniquely wonderful experience. Carly adjusts her teaching and communication style to the student’s needs, understanding that we all learn differently.
  
  Personally, I’m rekindling a love for something I thought I would never have time to get back to. I rode as a kid but then life/career/babies happened. I hesitated for years to try again, for fear of total humiliation (haha). As an adult I had lost all my nerve and become quite timid. Carly, and the whole barn in general, has gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Carly has allowed me to learn at my own pace, providing the perfect level of support along the way. I cannot express how happy I am to have taken this leap of faith, and found my “happy place”. As a mother of four with a high stress career, having an outlet that is just pure joy has added an extra layer to life that makes me a better mom and person.   If you are interested in a challenging, competent, caring trainer this is the place to be. Carly is very diversified in her training and really knows how to engage the rider with the horse. She takes care of everybody's horse like they are her own and has vast knowledge and experience in all aspects of horse care. I always have fun and learn a lot from her and Jim. All of her customers are good people and it is a true honor to be part of the barn family. I suggest you get signed up for training as soon as possible because she is phenomenal! Best, Libby D.

  I absolutley love Summerset Stables, the people here are very, very kind and are really helpful. The horses here are really great too. Lessons are really good, you get the feel of the horses and you learn so many new things. The trainer is probably in my opinion the best trainer that you will probably ever have. Carly breaks everything down to where you can comprehend what she is asking you to do.

  My granddaughter goes to Summerset Stables and loves Carly. Emma has accomplished more in her year and half with Carly training her than her previous trainers. I highly recommend Summerset astables to train at and to board horses. Not every stable is as attentive to the horses and give the horses excellent care.
