Pinchot Park Conewago Day Use Area

Came here when I was young. It's still pretty here. Grills to cook on, a nice playground, a ranger station or whatever that looked closed near sunset. Where's the recycling bins??

Pinchot is a very nice, quiet and clean space. We have enjoyed it for hiking, water activities, picnics and letting the kids play.

Tables recently updated, which is a nice bonus from years past!

Great area for boating, fishing, and cookouts. Lovely scenery for those looking for a restful stop. There is also a very nice playground for young children with nicely renovated facilities.

Good hiking when the trails aren't muddy. Won't take the kayaks back, the water was really nasty and full of grasses.

Pinchot has several great things going for it. The lake is big enough for everyone who visits. There isn't a feeling of being crowded even on popular days. The amenities are adequate. Fishing is decent, expect a lot of bluegills. Hiking trails could use some improvement. When there is even a small amount of rain many of the trails have large pits of mud that form and stay for days afterward.
