“Historic names of northeastern Pennsylvania about in this cemetery. Most notably Asa Packer who founded the town of Mauch Chunk in the early 1800s, renamed Jim Thorpe by the town dads in mid-twentieth century. Great views of mountains, awesome old trees and hours of peaceful gravestone reading.”

“Strange reviewing a cemetery, but here we are. Aside from the bizarre "buy one, get one" plot advertisement as you drive in, the land is a beautiful place. Not your typical grid of dirt and headstones, it almost looks surreal with how at peace the topography is. I don't know anyone that has had to "shop" for places to bury their loved ones, but if that's you, I encourage you to take a look here. ”
