In many instances, alternative medicine has worked where medications have failed. The prescribed meds I have been taking have caused significant long term issues including chronic inflammation of my stomach lining. That doesn’t happen with alternative medication. I use far less alternative medicine then opiates, yet in my plight for overall wellness, it seems I will lose my best Dr. Policy makers need to be fully informed before making decisions that could exacerbate other very serious health issues. I was hospitalized not long ago as I titrate off opiates. My EOB reads emergency visit, “problem is significant threat to life or function” In my humble opinion, it’s no time to make major changes.”
