“Colby Powell saved my life a year ago. I was having temporary partial blindness in my eye that happened several times a day and lasted a minute or two. I went to two eye doctor appointments, my primary care doctor, and the ER twice in a period of two months, and none of them suggested what he did. I finally went to see him and he said right away to get an ultrasound, that it could be my carotid artery blocking blood flow to my eye. Turns out he was right and by that time I had had about 200 TIAs (transient ischemic attacks, mini-strokes) due to stenosis of my carotid artery. At the appointment for the ultrasound I was admitted to the hospital and had an endarterectomy, which cleaned out my artery and the blindness was gone. I'm lucky I didn't have a full-blown stroke, and lucky to be alive, and it's all down to him. Thank you, Dr. Powell!”
