“About 3 years ago we were looking for a place for my mom to move from her house. We looked at number of facilities that offered independent living and decided on Concordia of the South Hills. We knew from the moment that we arrived that this was the place that God had planned for her to go. It started with Christie Whalen who welcomed us and made us feel "at home". She was instrumental in our decision to have mom move here because of how she treated us, how she informed us and how she made us feel. Christie is a testament of how to welcome someone to a Senior Living Facility and get them started in this type of living. Mom moved here into a beautiful 2 Bedroom Apartment and, although it took her a little time to get acclimated, it became her home. We decorated it with all of her belongings that she brought from her house and it was wonderful. She made friends, participated in activities and became an active part of the "family". I say family because although other facilities might have more activities and might offer pools and spas, Concordia is a true family feeling. All of the staff, from Glenna and Tom at the front desk to the exercise instructors to the therapists to the dining room servers and staff have been awesome and really provide a welcoming and warming atmosphere. Recently Mom has had some health issues and actually had to go to the Health Center for 2 different stays. While she was there she was taken care of so well and we really got to know and love the aides and nurses and therapists. I would like to name them all but really can thank Jasmine, Montashia, Ray, Lauren, Natasha, Patty, Sabine, Haley, Angel, Chris, Carla and Victor for all their help, all of their care and all of their "love". (if I missed someone I am sorry because they all do their jobs so well and genuinely care). I would also like to thank Jimmy for all he did. He was "always there" and helped in so many ways with so many things. His attitude and work ethic are awesome. Mom is now in Personal Care and although we have just started there it has also been a good experience. She has a wonderful apartment there that we have fixed up as home and know that they will take good care of her as she continues to be a part of the Concordia family. I would highly recommend Concordia for anyone who is looking for a place for themselves or their parent to continue their lives. We have had experience in the Independent Living, the Health Care area and now the Personal Care area and are so thankful for all they have done for us. We feel blessed that we have been able to have them take care of mom.”

“We lost our dog very suddenly last night. She was fine in the morning and by dinner she was acting very strange. We just knew something was very wrong and had to rush her late to the vet. My husband rushed her in and though she went very quickly the staff did everything they could to make it comfortable for her and us. They offered testing and to try to keep her alive but we knew she was already gone. They were very delicate with my husband and let him have a moment to cry and some of the staff even cried with him. They offered us several options and asked every step of the way what we wanted to do. At the end of the evening they gave my husband our sweet girl's paw print and some angel pins for our kids. This is not easy but the staff did a great job of making it easier. We are going to miss our girl so much.”

“We checked in this hotel on our way to Florida. Lovely hotel by Hilton and the price was also great. The hotel is a new building with the rooms clean and modern. The lady at the reception was very friendly. My credit card got declined and she was accommodating as my booking was prepaid. Also the room we got was not clean and she replaced it with a new room as soon as we told her. The breakfast was okay as most of the options were closed. There were options for bagel and some packaged food. I miss the old days when we had so many options for breakfast. Anyways, the hotel was overall really good.”
