If you are fortunate enough to find yourself at Jim Tucker's office, you will quickly realize that you have a wise and talented rolfer at your side. Jim Tucker is a master. I was sent to him by another talented rolfer who didn't have any availability. Jim swiftly diagnosed my problems which were terribly severe.(My back was so out of sorts, I could barely walk, my stomach muscles were knotted and my leg muscles tight.) In 90 minutes, Jim had addressed the spasms that were causing my pain. While many people think rolfing is painful and invasive, I would describe it as a cure for serious back pain. There is some minimal pain for a few minutes but it is nothing compared to what I was experiencing upon arrival. And Jim made every effort to keep whatever pain the process required to a minimum. I walked out feeling enormously better. I asked to return a week later; the second visit was an hour. Jim's calm, thoughtful manner addressed some minor concerns and I'm done. Plus, he made a point to talk with me about how to carry things so that I was less likely to have problems in the future. And, he looked at the driver's seat in my car and adjusted it so that I could avoid more pain. Jim is well suited to his work, has a very respectful manner and is sincere. I was there for back pains that were so severe they were impacting other parts of my body. But I know that Jim also can help with carpal tunnel as well as neck and shoulder pain. And he's very honest. Anyone who is reluctant to try rolfing or unfamiliar with the experience, should speak to Jim. He is approachable, knowledgeable and understanding. And he can really help. Rather than having surgery, extensive physical therapy, or endless visits to a chiropractor, I would encourage starting with Jim. He's more than a rolfer, he's an educator.
I could not sleep without 3 pillows. After the first session I was pain free. I was amazed at the results. I referred my friend's son who was having back pain that was keeping him from playing sports in high school. He had tried cortisone shots, chiropractor and PT to no avail. After one session with Jim he finished his high school sports career pain free and played college rugby w/o any incidents and has played club rugby for the past 5 years.
