Heng Thai & Rotisserie

Very authentic Thai food(coming from who grew up in Thailand). Except service felt a little rushed and didn't bother to ask if we needed anything else and just gave us the check. I understand it was because it was busy but still. Great food and really cheap Thai beer though!

I was a little apprehensive about going here, as I am not a huge fan of spicy food and I feared that everything would have quite a bit of heat to it, however I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of everything! The quality was amazing and everything was super yummy. I wish the tables had been a bit larger however I understand needing to use as much space as possible for seating. I would definitely recommend this place!

Nice cozy place. Make no mistake it is OPEN. It is just underground. Savory Thai Tom Yum noddle soup.

Starting off with the atmosphere, this place feels very cozy. Not too large and not too small, it's just the right size to eat out with a couple of friends and enjoy some nice conversations without feeling overwhelmed by all the background noise. There is someone at the counter to greet you the moment you walk in and walk you to a table appropriate for your party's size. The menus are unlike anything I've ever seen: glossy sheets bound by three rings to a wooden board. Service was quick, and the waitress who took our orders was friendly.

Most of the entrée options fall in the $10-15 range, which I would say is not too expensive! Some dishes have similar titles, so be sure to read the descriptions to have accurate ideas of what you're ordering. The food was exquisite! As the picture shows, I had their Crispy Pad Thai, which struck a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors. The abundant crunch of the peanuts formed a nice contrast with the softness of the chicken and shrimp. My only complaint about the dish is that it only had two shrimp and about five chicken pieces. They really did me dirty on the shrimp.

Overall, I recommend this place if you're having a craving for Thai food and want a cheap place with simple but high-quality dishes. The servers are kind, and they even have some bubble tea options for drinks!

Nice low lit old styled place on Hope street. Tried the Heng fried rice. The iced tea is really good and worth a try
