This place is a hidden gem. Jessie and Amber both do a great job cutting hair. You don't have a stylist trying to sell you some hair product you don't need, just good natured banter, and a price you can't beat! It's never a dull moment when getting your haircut here. ????‍♂️

We’ve lived in the area for 3-years and I’ve been to and given-up on all of the so-called Barber Shops in Lake Wylie. A real barber shop does NOT require you to make an appointment to be seen in less than an hour.

I don’t mind waiting my turn, but those other places on the main-drag in Lake Wylie just don’t care and don’t understand the difference between a Barber Shop and a Beauty Parlor!

I wanted a traditional Barber Shop, one with REAL Barbers — NOT cosmetologist!

I believe I’ve found my new home here at McCarter’s where Jesse and the team are great AND they do it at half-the-price of those others!

Lake Wylie is finally beginning to feel like HOME...!

Old time home town barber shop. Been in business for many many years. The staff is excellent and courtious! Prices are competitive. Less expensive than a great clips.

Great people. Feels like sitting at home getting a haircut at a great price.
