Banks Trail is a wonderful school. This year I am graduating and I thought this would be the perfect time to say that the only problem I have is about dress code. Why boys never get dress coded, even though you can fully see their underwear, but girls do because you see a their bra strap or their shorts are “too short” is beyond me. I want to come to school for an education, not to seem cute in front of the boys. They always tell us that we “distract” the boys if our shoulders are showing or if are bra strap is showing, but we should not be the ones you are punishing! You should be punishing the boys who are starring at us. I am not ashamed of my body and I shouldn’t have to be told by my school what I can or cannot wear. I don’t want to come to school and feel pressured about getting dressed coded. Girls are beautiful and if they want to wear shorts, they should be able to. If boys can sag their pants, then why can’t I wear a tank top? Overall, btms was my home for 3 years and hope the people after me appreciate this school and the teachers and staff in it as much as I do!
I love this school! This is my first year here at banks trail, and so far, it has been pretty good. I just moved to the fort mill area, and the fort mill school district in general is pretty great. The staff is amazing, good cafeteria food, and lots of fun clubs and related arts. My only complants are that they tested me way after school started for gifted classes, so I had to leave behind everything I was just getting used to, but the gifted classes are excellent. And also, some of the people are fake drama queens, but overall, I really do love this school.
