Vegan platter and lentil samosas were amazing, owner was very nice. Best injera
Hooray! They survived COVID and are once again serving delicious Ethiopian food. We had the meat combination with sides, and loved it. Best Ethiopian in Nashville!
Amy and Alex welcome you as guests rather than customers. The food is delicious: a blend of traditional Ethiopian with local ingredients. If you come with a group, you can share various foods served on a platter of injira bread.
The food was delicious. Especially the coffee. The coffee was amazing and I would happily eat there again. The star came off because the temperature in the restaurant was high. Like, on the verge of uncomfortable high.
I discovered this place about 3 years ago. It changed my life! So good. I swear you can taste the love in every bite. Not kidding. I'm pretty sure that the first time I ate there I teared up a little. Such awesome food. Underrated place for sure.
I. Love. This. Place.
I recently visited again and realized I didn't leave anything but 5 stars when I found this place 3 years ago!
So 2021 update: it's still 5 star good. They're still kind and welcoming. I've not been here as much as I wanted to be over the last year or so, but I got takeaway tonight and YUM. Everything was as delicious as I remember, and I have leftovers for what looks like days! Haha.
I was a little sad to see the market so barren, though.
In a perfect world, there would be an easier/cheaper way for restauraunts to package an Ethiopian buffet (because that's essentially what we ordered haha) where I could assemble it myself at home, but in the absence of that, it was packaged in the best way possible.
