  My dog became very sick last December. I had used Grassmere for 30 + years as a vet. They would not possibly try to see my dog before the end of the week.
  Wesvet saw her as an emergency walk in and after examination told me she needed immediate emergency surgery and she would not have lived until the end of the week.
  They even called ahead so that the emergency pet facility was waiting.
  My most recent visit was no less positive. They are a truly caring group of professionals.
  I would not have my girl today if not for them.
  Highly recommended!

  Terrific. It is easy to make appointments, and when you get there they don't leave you waiting for a long time. The vets spend a good amount of time with you and are both extremely knowledgeable + practical. The location is convenient, and parking is good. The office is modern and clean. They give you an estimate of costs before performing services which I really liked.

  I cannot say enough good things about WesVet, Dr Schoonover and his team. I am a veterinarian myself and even vets need a good vet to take care of their pets! I can’t be objective with my own pet’s care. So I entrust her care to Dr Schoonover. My cat is nearly 18 years old and he recently did a thorough exam, a long dental with extractions, ear flush, and a skin biopsy. The intake staff were friendly and her nurse (Taylor I think?) reflected all of my cat’s pertinent history to me after I told her about my kitty so I knew she was listening and had the details correct. Her anesthesia tech kept an old kitty stable and comfortable. That’s no easy feat! Her mouth is now healed and she’s eating better than she has in a year or more. I would certainly take her back again and again if she needed it!

  If you are looking for the most impressive veterinarian, vet techs, and vet office staff in Middle Tennessee, you'll want to go to WesVet and see Dr. Schoonover. Rarely have I seen a true balance of clinical excellence and bedside manner. My wife and I rescue senior dogs to give them a safe home in their last years of life. As you can imagine, this can get expensive and difficult at times. Knowing we have access to exceptional care for our seniors, that is also reasonably priced is a blessing for us. After our fist appointment, Dr. Schoonover (without being prompted to do so) made phone calls to gather more medical records, and even followed up with us by phone personally. Where on earth could you say you've had an experience like that with another vet?! The staff at WesVet is also super welcoming, friendly, and professional. They clearly love what they do and are talented people. All I can say is that we are grateful to have found WesVet Animal Hospital and couldn't imagine going anywhere else. If you are thinking about giving these folks a try, you will understand why I felt compelled to write this review!

  We cannot say enough good things about WesVet!! From the first call to make the appointment to the post-op care of our kitty, their doctors and staff were incredible, patient, helpful, and compassionate. Dr. Dobbs & Dr. Wes are extremely knowledgeable. They walked us through every step from start to finish and were there to answer every question we had. Dr. Wes called us personally twice a day while our cat was in the hospital to give us updates. They truly care about animals and their owners and make you feel like a part of their family. Take your pet here for the best veterinary care in Nashville! ♥♥♥
