  I love the local Greenways, and this particular stretch is great. From Khols to the Dam has great hills, scenic bridges, and riverfront views. Great for walking, jogging, dogs (dog park next to the dam). Biking is ruff with the hills (great for serious cyclists). Always pass on the left and call out "on your left." The YMCA trail is a fun scenic off shoot and leads to a historic cemetery.

  An excellent paved walking trail/path that goes on for miles. You can literally run a marathon!

  Beautiful paved greenway, you can rent bicycles at the start of the trail. I’ve taken it as far as Donelson walking. It goes all the way to Opryland Mall and Hotel. The old plantation and cemetery are behind the Donelson YMCA which the trail also runs parallel to. If you walk it or ride the trail you are almost sure to see beavers, unique birds, and other wildlife. There are occasionally black snakes that also live by the water. It’s a rare treat to see one they are docile, like all wildlife keep your distance and admire. 😃

  This is a very nice park. It have a paved trail to ride bikes, jog, or walk on. They have a fenced area for dogs if you like to take your dog. Make sure your dog is the social kind though. Really don't want to see anyone have trouble with their special fur baby. There is a dam here too ad well as fishing.

  The Stones River Greenway is a great place to walk. We started at the trailhead at the Kohls parking lot and walked about two miles to where the Stones River empties into the Cumberland. We saw several deer in the brush along the trail and walked past an abandoned golf course and the future Lytle Creek Park. We could see the river from the trail and a couple of fishing boats along the way. It was fun for us to look across the Cumberland and see the boat ramp at Peeler Park in Madison, several miles away via highway. It's an easy, paved trail that's well used by walkers, runners and cyclists. There's lots of pretty scenery and interesting sights along the trail that makes it a pleasant way to get in your steps.
