I am a Parkinson's patient that is amazed by the care I receive at Vanderbilt by ALL the staff. So much so, that we (my wife & I) have referred several individuals to Vanderbilt. One episode that really impressed me was when I was making a trip from the Neurology Dept. to the cafeteria to get a cup of coffee, (and this PD patient was moving slowly), as many as twelve (12) employees of Vanderbilt stopped and asked if they could assist me in any way. (And it keeps getting better) The cashier said, "I have not did my good deed for the day", and paid for my cup of coffee! What amazes me, is that this attitude seems to prevail throughout Vanderbilt. I now go to Vandy's cardiology, as well as Neurology clinic. I AM ALWAY PLEASED!!! Oh, I about forgot to mention, we live about 2-3 hours away, and yet, will be seeing a relative soon to refer that individual to Vanderbilt.
