Nice people, I love the homemade tamales.
Gas stations close to my house so it’s convenient to stop here before or after work to fill up, usually not crowded but during lunch hour it is, mainly because of their chicken here. If you haven’t tried it yet then you have too. They also upgraded the tire air pump.
Inside of this Shell station on Murfreesboro Pike next to the Sonic is the delightful, delicious, clean Chicken Xpress chicken tenders & wings stand. Anyone who knows a thing or two about finding good chicken can tell you that gas station chicken is hit or miss. This is a big hit! I just got 5 fresh tenders, a giant potato's worth of hand cut wedges, a King's Hawaiian roll, and a fountain drink --for less than 8 bucks! And it was so good, that after my co-workers inquired where that awesome smell came from, I couldn't stop telling them about this wonderful chicken place I just found. Best cheap eat on this stretch of the highway.
This place has the best chicken tenders and the sweetest workers! I never would have known they had hot food if a coworker had not told me. I go here all the time for lunch. Their fried okra and potato wedges are pretty great, too.
