(March 3, 2020, 2:30 pm)After reading the many great reviews about Jefferson Street Sound, I just knew it was a must see on my trip to Nashville. The owner Lorenzo had SO much history and knowledge to share about many of the African American musicans from the 40s-70s that influenced and shaped the Nashville music scene. A friend of his even popped in to say hello and ended up sharing even more stories about the legends he played with like Jimi Hendrix. What a hidden gem not to be missed on your next trip to Nashville...I promise you won't regret it! There is no cover charge but please donate to this amazing black business!

They have memorabilia from the 70s, 80s up to present day of Jefferson street and the Stars that blessed it. A true must if you want to know and feel Nashvilles Soul history. The Museum is open on Saturdays currently or by appointment. We were blessed to be able to have - Ten -Miss Soul Sista herself Listening party here. This place and the owners are true Nashville Music History. So many Stars blessed Jefferson street time to follow their footsteps... Come out and support the museum and the culture.
(July 10, 2019, 3:07 am)OMg, there is so much music history here. I wish some e like Oprah or Tyler or Beyonce could invest in this hidden black culture. Our children need to know this history. No one is going to get it to them. It's so hidden.
