Tailwater Access Area

I walked around the loop trail. Nice and quiet and beautiful. This access area is quite remote so if you’re a solo female and wary of being in the woods alone, try a different more populated trail. Also the bridges were under construction for repairs but you could still walk on them, and there were some trees down across the trail.

It was a beautiful day and the leaves are changing!! It’s rather dry so the mosquitoes are not too pesky. And we saw a beautiful little green snake!! The leaf on our dog’s head just gently wafted down and landed just where you see it!

Took the family and dogs for a walk, It was our first time going on this trail. Loved the scenery but forgot the mosquito spray because they were really bad. All in all it was a good trip. Will be going back but next will have the spray lol

There are several places to put in a boat. Many people fish from the bank. There are lots of ducks, birds, and a few cranes. There are racoons, bunnies, chipmunks, skunks, deer and more that can be spotted around the wooded areas. This is a beautiful place.

It the dam area you can right down to the river there are walkways . It can be dangerous if you go out on the rocks . They also have a nature trail which goes around a pond very pretty.
