The best studio in Middle TN!

I recently went here for a burlesque show. I really liked the space though felt it was a bit congested for the show. Since I had never been here, I really did not know what to expect. Parking was a hassle and finding the place.

So, why 4 stars if all I am doing is complaining? Well to put it simply, this place is neat. I kind of like the hidden aspect of it. It is kind of a secret and that made the journey more amusing to get to the show. Maybe I am a bit sadistic, I don't know, but that was a bit of charm to it. I like searching out speakeasies, so to try and find the burlesque show was a challenge.

Once I got to where I needed to be, I managed to have a great time with my BYOB to the event and the show they put on. They had a great jazz band playing with the performers. The vibe of the place is very positive and forward thinking. Don't ask how I picked up that thought, but it reflected in the crowd and in the venue itself.

I'd be curious to see what else they have in store for future shows and what kind of stuff they do here on the daily.

I love this venue so much - as a dancer, as a musician who has played dances there, and as a bandleader/vocalist who has recorded there. Brook Sutton, who manages this space, is incredible to work with. Not only does he make it easy, but he goes out of his way to handle problems before you even know they've come up. I'm a venue manager myself and cannot recommend this space - or Brook - highly enough.

My band made a video at this studio, and we were very pleased with the results. The whole process from start to finished product exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend working with Brook and the team at the Studio. Also, the interior is historic, unique and inspiring.
