Gary Gilbert, by far, is the finest Luthier in the area. My father was a renowned songwriter and passed away in 2015 and Gary restored his 1937 Gibson country and western. With an instrument with such an intricate history , Gary restored to its beautiful original playing condition. By far the finest playing accoustic that I’ve ever played. He loves your instrument the way that you do and you cannot do better with guitar repair even around Nashville. Best setup for my 97’ US Baladeer, “Betts”. Also, if you’re a picker, you won’t want to leave his shop and end the conversation. Great artist, craftsman and man. Thanks Gary!

Gary is the best! I found King Bee Guitars a few years ago after searching for someone to clean up a messy refret job done at a different shop downtown. That store has since closed down. Gary got the guitar back to prime condition in a timely manner for a very reasonable price! Since then, he's gotten a few pawn shop rescues for me playing like new as well as restoring a couple vintage gibsons for an out of state friend. When he says it'll be done, it's done. You don't have to call a million times checking on it and receiving promises of next week each time. His sense of customer service is excellent and he aims to please. In short, going to Gary's shop reminds me of the Nashville music community 20 years ago- down home, humble, and over achieving. Highly recommended!

A++. Gary does amazing work. A real craftsman, with a wealth of knowledge about guitars. I have had several guitars repaired at King Bee guitars, both my guitars or friends who I refereed to Gary, and always a top notch job. I just had Gary do a set up on a parts-caster and honestly it plays better than any guitar I own. Much appreciated!
