“I recently terminated my lease in December 2020 to relocate for a job in Dallas. I would like to say the leasing staff and apartment manager, Shelli Wheeler was AWESOME! Shelli kept in constant contact with me in regards to fees owed and payments. With Shelli, i never felt like I was “in the dark.” Shelli has been very personable, patient, and helpful with my transitions. I really loved the apartments along with the dog parks when living at The Overlook. If I did not relocate, I would have re-signed my lease with the complex. Maintenance always came in a timely manner (a day or two) after request and the apartment grounds were always neat and clean. I would defiantly recommend The Overlook to any prospective tenants!”

“Nice restaurant set right on the water in a private marina with inside and outside seating. Went at lunch and it wasn't busy at all. Staff was really friendly and answered questions. Unfortunately they were out of wings today, but my coworker and I ended up with the Pork Bell Grilled cheese and the Chicken Tenders. Grilled cheese was awesome, cooked well, super cheesy, and very buttery. Tots were good, but I'll ask for mine extra crispy next time. Coworked said tenders were good, though he really wanted the wings. Slaw was good as well, if not a bit heavy on black pepper. Wouldn't hesitate to come back again.”

“UPDATE: as of 08/14/19 we DO accept fuel rewards. please disregard #1 in this review. I work at this shell station, and I wanted to address a few things people seem to have issues with. I mean no disrespect in any of this. 1.We do NOT have fuel rewards there. Yes. I know there are signs on the pumps. Yes I know other Shell Stations have fuel rewards. However. We are PRIVATELY OWNED. This means we go off of whatever CONTRACTS we have. We don't have a contract in order to participate in the Shell rewards. It is in no way the Cashiers fault. Please remember this. 2. We do not accept EBT. Again. It sums up to contracts. No contract? No Participation. 3. We only Accept Marlboro coupons (until our contract for others gets approved) 4. We do not sell Kerosene. The container out there is old and does not work. We at the Haywood Shell do our best to serve you as customers. I personally try to keep a smile on my face, even if I have just dealt with an unruly customer or two. Please be kind when you enter. Thank you.”

“Welcome to 1979 was everything I was promised: warm sound, warm people, great spacious studio and great players with solid input. I've made two CDs (yeah those things!) in Nashville and enjoyed doing both but Welcome to 1979 was easily the best studio experience I've had thus far. Chris and Justin told me at the beginning of the sessions to "Have fun!" and I did. And the mixes sound awesome. Kudos to engineer Jeremy. If you haven't tried the studio, do so. “Words can't describe how great this food was. I ordered a Gyro Sandwich Combo with Fries and a drink along with a Combination Plate, which comes with rice and salad in addition to the Gyro meat and Chicken. The former for lunch was $7.99, the latter for dinner was $8.99, and overall just under $19 out the door. Let me tell you, it was worth EVERY penny. The Gyro Sandwich was MASSIVE. A huge pita pocket stuffed with Gyro meat, lettuce, tomato, black olives, feta and shredded cheese, jalapeno peppers, I could go on...and topped with cucumber sauce. It was so heavy, it weighed down the bag it was in. The fries were hot and crunchy and were the perfect compliment to the sandwich. Lunch was perfect. Five stars. As for the Combination Plate, you wanna talk about ginormous!!! I couldn't even finish my dinner, it was that much!!! Four juicy chicken tenders along with a generous portion of gyro meat over a mound of saffron flavored rice, one 7-8" pita bread cut into fourths and a mix of the three salads they had available, along with all the toppings I could ever ask for. Not only did I get more than my money's worth, it was flavorful and absolutely delicious. I'd give it more than five stars if I could. The establishment itself was nice and clean, organized and the service was phenomenal. I can't wait to go back for more!!! Thank you for making my lunch and dinner a heavenly experience!!!”
