Vanguard Direct Family Medicine

I have been a patient for five months at the time of writing this review. My experience at Vanguard Family Medicine has been very good. I thought that Dr. Hoffman's initial physical exam was very thorough. She checked a few things on me that I haven't gotten checked for at other primary care providers. She pressed on my thyroid and my abdomen and I got a urine test in addition to a blood test. The lab tests cost about 75% less than at other doctors offices. I like how she congratulates her patients on losing weight or lowering their cholesterol or whatever it might be during their follow up appointments. I think that Dr. Hoffman's medical assistant or nurse is very nice so that makes going to the doctors kind of fun, and she is very knowledgeable at doing phlebotomy. The veins in my arm are deep so I have a history of having to get poked with the needle more than once, but she does a good job inspecting both of my arms and finding the best place on me for administering a blood test.

Dr. Hoffman has been my doctor for several years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Very caring and thorough, and always makes time to talk to me on the phone or in person when I have problems or questions. Highly recommend!

I love the staff, and I've been Dr. Hoffman's patient for years. The changes she's implemented in the practice are amazing and have taken her already great service to extraordinary!

Emergency Awesome!!! Health Insurance for my family of 6 became unaffordable $1600 a month and the dedctibles were $5300 per person. To ensure I didn't get a tax penalty I purchased a faith based health share plan from Christian Health Ministries for $450 a month I have a family plan with $500 deductible. I still needed a primary care Doctor who was affordable. I researched and found Vanguard which gave my family of 6 unlimited visits for about $200 a month. My son just split his head needing stitches on a holiday weekend and the Doctor met us at her clinic and had my son stitched up in 15min. Had I went to the emergency room it would have cost me $1200. Because I pay Vanguard monthly I am only out about $50 for the needle, thread and numbing shot. By not having an ER visit I just saved myself 1/2 a years membership to Vanguard. Now my monthly health coverage cost me a total $650, I have great coverage and an Awesome Doctor.

The cost savings is AMAZING!!!! I continue to be amazed more and more each day! I can never imagine going to a fee for service clinic again. I am so very proud to be on this journey with Dr. Hoffman!
