We were so happy to find Red Lobster open on Christmas Day. I have always felt bad for people working on these days so I was reluctant but when we went in and sat at the bar, we were greeted by a very enthusiastic woman who has been with the company for 26 years. I am sad I don’t know her name. (She is a general manager I believe) She was great and very sweet. She wasn’t even working the bar but took care of us until Ethan, the bartender, arrived. He was also very good and accommodating. Despite it being a holiday, they seemed happy to be there. The restaurant was very busy but we had awesome service. We ordered the calamari for appetizer. We shared the Ultimate Feast (I think that’s the name). We had lobster, shrimp pasta, broccoli, baked potato, crab, and fried shrimp. All was super tasty! We just wish you could get more crab meat but that’s just the norm for crab, I think. It was lots of people and good people watching. I had white and red wine and he had a couple of Sam Adams. Really festive. I hope everyone there took care of their servers because they did a fantastic job and especially on Christmas! They also gave 10.00 off coupons to everyone who came in today to use throughout the month of January. So obviously, smart marketing team too!
Food was delicious! Service was great. Our waiter was helpful, friendly and informative. There was a manager or asst manager, walking around also being very friendly. We observed the hostess being rude to her coworker, with unkind words and we thought she was going to pop the waitresses hand at one point. Take it easy Analena
Portia our server's level of attentiveness was perfect. Visit was for dinner at 5:30 on a Friday night, which we try not to do very often just because we know the service level can be difficult at that time of day. Biscuits were warm, soft, and buttery. New Orleans salmon was cooked just right with a little zing in the sauce. Broccoli and baked potatoes were also flavorful. Seafarers feast was crisp and fresh. Poor little lobster lol.
Good place to eat if you have alpha-gal meat allergy, although still a chance of cross contamination from the burger or bacon, but much less than most typical chain restaurants. #eatmoreseafood
