A gentlemen (owner?) saw my wife and kids outside and offered to go grab us dessert on the house when we told him it was our first time and looking forward to trying it. The brisket was juicy and full of flavor. Devil eggs tasted like Sunday’s at Granny’s. Strawberry shortcake, carrot cake, and banana pudding were all incredible. We will be back anytime we come through Memphis- a must stop!”

“I've tried three sandwiches- Italian, beef debris & blt- and and the popcorn shrimp; all have been great. The shrimp have more kick than I expected so my kids weren't huge fans, but I liked them. The bread is outstanding. Since it is so close to the zoo, we've stopped in a couple of time on our way to/from the zoo.”

“If you're on President's Island with an empty stomach or thirsty, this is the best place to go. (It even has ☆[overnight] parking for 18 wheelers.) It has a buffet lunch or order off the menu. The gyros and burgers are great. Also, a darn good bar. (Social distancing in seating in bar & restaurant. Smoking only allowed in bar area.) Closes early. But opens @ 5:30 am. It has outdoor seating, too, but this is Memphis, so expect to sweat alot (melt!) in the Summer.”

I had sweet and sour chicken and it was SO good. Arguably one of the best Chinese places I’ve eaten n the city, and I’m from Memphis. If you’re in the area, pay Ms.Julie a Visit. There’s also a convenience store inside and they offer much more than Chinese.”
