“Shad was absolutely fantastic. I was on a trip with my family when the check-engine light came on and I felt the van jumping as I was driving. We were planning on leaving TN early on Saturday morning for our return journey of nearly 1000 miles. The problem with my van came up around 7pm on Friday after all the usual mechanics have closed their shops. I called Shad at SA-1 Mobile Mechanic and I mentioned the jam I was in, and he very graciously agreed to take a look at my van at 11pm on Friday (what a guy!!). I took the van to him where he ran a diagnostic and said it looks like the van needs 6 new coils with 6 spark-plugs since the codes showed that all 6 coils were misfiring. So we agreed that I would bring the van back Saturday morning and he would come with me to get the parts and he would fix the van. The actual work (after we get the parts) was supposed to take about 4 hours. I arrive on Saturday morning and he tells me that he did some research after I left last night (again, what a guy!!!) and found out based on the codes he was saw that I really needed to replace only 3 of the coils with spark plugs and not all 6. He explained that 3 of the coils in the front of the engine misfiring was causing the other 3 in the back to also misfire. So just replacing the ones in the front would be enough. That saved me a ton of money and the work to replace 3 was only about 30 minutes (not 4 hours) since those 3 are in the front of the engine, not the back. So, Shad came with me to get the parts and he replaced the coils with the spark plugs. Then he took me on a fairly-long test drive on the interstate and local roads to make sure the problem did not come back (super-awesome service!!!). His charge for all the work he did to help me in a crunch was very reasonable and I thought very fair. Now I am back at home after the 1000 mile drive and the van ran very smoothly without any problems at all. I would recommend Shad to anyone without any hesitation at all. Really nice guy with a big heart, very honest in his work, and very reasonable prices. Great job all around!!! “Wow! Service like this just doesn’t exist anymore. I set up an appointment a week ago to have my wife’s grille on her Acadia looked at for an estimate. When I get there Steve comes out to take a look at it and asks me if he can take it back to the shop for a second to take a look at it. Sure I said. Not 5 minutes later he drives it back up front and it’s fixed! He was able to get it back in place in 5 minutes! Not only that he didn’t charge me anything!?!?!
