The scenic area had fantastic twisty roads for cyclists, motorcycles, or sports cars, so getting there is an adventure in itself. “The Store was pretty full around 4 PM on Thursday. We had a group of 5 meeting up and had difficulty getting seating together. The Service was fairly fast. The afternoon iced coffee and pastry break was much needed. We were finally able to snag a chair from a table occupied by one, so that we could stay and chat indoors over our snack. The music was a bit loud and the one available restroom seemed to be constantly occupied. There is a small patio outside with maybe 3 tables, and another couple 2 toppers on the sidewalk. The drive thru seemed to be pretty non-stop and the indoor line was pretty constant.”

“My boyfriend and I visited here for the first time a few weeks ago for lunch. We both got the create your own salad and bottled waters. The salads are unlimited toppings for $15. It does take quite awhile for the salads to be made. We waited every bit of 30+ minutes. I assume the they chop all the ingredients fresh per order which creates the lengthy wait. The place is nothing fancy, but the salads and homemade dressings were good. 2 salads and 2 waters were $40...a bit pricey for lunch, especially considering there's not much protein in the salads and what they do use is small pieces of chopped deli meat. Overall it was good, but not a place I would frequent.”

“I love a good story. This restaurant in Bon Aqua, Tennessee is out in the middle of damn near nowhere. It's got a menu that's unchanged since the beginning of time. Southern. Their motto is "if it's not fried, it's not food". Well, they got their name from another long time ago bit of history. Down the road a little piece, out in the middle of a field, was a light that lined up with a bunch of other lights between Memphis and Nashville that planes followed to deliver mail. This was how the postal service got letters from west Tennessee to mid state. I like everything about this place except for the part where I'll have to go on a fast for the next few days. Even the tablecloths are cool. Just thinking about the lights and planes makes me extra grateful for GPS.”

The smoothie bowl was so big, 3 of my kids split one and could barely finish it. We have tried all the juices and the smoothies are always the perfect consistency. “This Gas Station/Food Stop is a great place to stop & get snacks, sodas, water & hot food. I'm a regular, so the employees are always inviting & friendly. The employees are bi-lingual & some can even speak more languages than that. That's a plus to me, because not everyone speaks English or they can speak a little bit. The #1 draw to the store is their hot & fresh gizzards. They're better than Jack Pirtles'!! They practically melt in your mouth! They have other hot food that is cooked to perfection to me! They have fried whole wings, pizza, spring rolls, fried Catfish, chicken tenders, fries & my favorite is baked leg quarters in gravy topped over rice!! Finally a non-asian store that can cook White rice!! (I'm a Pacific Islander, and we eat rice everyday) I believe they serve breakfast, but by the time I get there it's all gone or they don't have what I want. I love this Store. They do have the Lottery, too.”
