We have finally found our forever home church ♥️
People are welcoming. Coffee and snack are provided before Worship. I am attending a class at 9:30 on Sunday mornings on Holistic Eating. Very informative. Worship music is very good. Brings me before the Lord and prepares me for the sermon. Pastor Eason is a dynamic preacher/teacher. I am very pleased I found this church.
CCC is only a part of THE GATHERING that meets at this location. In fact, the building originally and continues to also house the small Church of Christ congregation, of which Johnny Bond currently pastors. He is an excellent teacher and also by trade. Johnny brings a needed balance to the hip and seeker friendly, modern worship flavor of John Eason's CCC congregation.
Personally, I love them both. As well as, the other congregation Heirs of Grace or HOG. Affectionately, know as the motorcycle church. Its pastors Billy Helm and Henry Connor are "out of the box" and out of the church ministers. Henry is an annointed worshipper and song writer. His acoustic style is sooths the weary soul.
In addition, HOG's congregants, under the direction of Pastor Billy, operate the successful women's addiction recovery center, House Hope.
THE GATHERING demonstrates the beginnings of UNITY between the much divided western christian culture. A concept that started with ADONAI, God himself.
The patriarchs and matriachs of Bastrop County have been praying for this kind of miracle move of God since before I arrived and became part of the faith community in 1986.
Add to this, the Hebrew roots of Yeshua by including a Shabbat service and a Messianic Jewish Rabbi and we would be the One New Man that is spoken of in the Holy scriptures.
Great services.. Great pastor (Pastor John) and fellowship. Solid teaching on the word, with relevant application and no nonsense approach. Laid back, family feel. Everyone knows you. This church for being small.packs a big punch! They pray like no one else here and they give like no one else. Doing a lot in the community with outreach, activities and truly caring for others.
