  This veterinary clinic is the BEST. I was visiting my sister from the valley when my 14 year old diabetic chihuahua Dott became very lethargic. I called several vet clinics in Austin and Bastrop and no one would see him. Essential Vet Care immediately accepted him as a walk in, drew labs, and fixed him right up. Dr. Gonzalez is a caring, patient, and extremely helpful veterinarian! I wish we lived closer so my Dott could continue care with her :( The receptionists and vet techs were also very helpful and kind.

  Thougt my pup may have had a hairline fracture and They were able to get me in within the hour I called. They took excellent care of him.Nothing broken, gave me some pain medication and that they will call within a few days to see how he's doing. I highly recommend trying this new Veterinary business ☆☆☆☆☆

  This vet clinic is the best. It was time to put our sweet dog down and the whole office was very passionate and understanding during our most difficult time.

  Just had my dog’s first visit to EVC Pet Care. Cannot say enough positive things about this vet. Dr. Hatfield was friendly and very responsive to my questions. He did not suggest additional treatments or medications beyond those for the condition being treated. Most important of all, I did not feel judged for neglecting some of my dog’s health care needs. The fees charged were shockingly reasonable. The front desk staff are also very pleasant and helpful. Thank you all!

  Just took my cat to the Fayette County location. It’s worth driving that far for a good vet. We had a small emergency and no vet near us would even see us because they were booked up for weeks. I found out about Fayette County before learning about this location closer to us. Excited to be switching my vet to this location!
