(March 25, 2018, 10:50 am)I have been taking guitar lessons from Payton for almost three years. I could not be happier with what I have learned from Payton. Other than knowing about 10 chords, I basically had no musical background or training before starting with Payton. I had wanted to take guitar lessons for many years and would encourage anyone who is thinking about getting started, not to make the same mistake I did which was to “put it off”. Payton is knowledgeable, patient and will work with each of his students and adapt his lessons so his student is not overwhelmed. Over time he’ll help build your confidence. Payton has a very nice studio at his home so there no need to fight with parking and other inconveniences of taking lessons a music store. Finally, his pricing is very affordable. He is also not going to try to talk you into spending more than you need on a guitar to get started (I started with a “relic” to begin with a later upgraded because I wanted to). Need I say more…..go for it!!

He is an excellent teacher and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him to anyone - beginners, experts, any everyone in between. Thanks Payton for making this a very positive experience for both of us!

He is patient with my son who is only 6 and is always prepared with new things to learn. His studio is well equipped and he has all the latest gadgets that make learning easy and fun.

(January 11, 2018, 8:30 pm)My son played guitar and I wanted to be able to play with him. Mr. Peyton is the music teacher at my preschool. After watching him work with 2 and 3 year olds, I thought he would be patient with me. I am so glad I went. My lessons are one of the best parts of my week. Mr. Peyton is kind and patient. He knows how to bring out the best in people and their efforts. He is always encouraging me to keep going and to try new things. He keeps finding new songs that I want to learn. I am happy with the progress I have made and have been able to join my son playing the guitar. Playing guitar has been a great connection with my son thank you Mr. Peyton.
