  Mission San Jose is the most visited for good reason. Great architecture, walls, setting. May catch a mariachi mass if you go on a Sunday.

  Mission San Jose is a must see for anyone coming to San Antonio. I know it's not 100% original, but the restoration work that has been done is great and the history is fascinating! Super fun place for the whole family to go.

  Great mission to visit, beautiful building and the walls/housing are still intact. I highly recommend this if you’re interested in learning about and really seeing what these missions were like.

  The mission compound is fantastic. It's amazing so much has survived the centuries, and the restoration work helps provide a better window into the past. The exhibit at the visitor center is an essential first stop to understand the missions; staff there are friendly and helpful.

  Great site! The Alamo gets all the hype because of its historical significance to Texas' independence. This is an overlooked gem that has not been destroyed by war, but rather maintained by the mission to a great degree. Built in the 1700s, this mission also holds a valuable place in the history of the settlement of Texas. A testament to Spanish engineering and ingenuity of the 16th century. 5 stars.
