Wonderful garden. It is a quaint area of San Antonio. The garden itself is a nice place to take a walk around. Depending on the season you get to see different flowers. The bird watch place is pretty cool place. Come at noon where the the feeding begins. You get to see different species of birds also depending on the season.

This place has changed from the last time we came. It's not even the same place anymore, but it's super amazing now. Plenty of walking ground, places to sit, shade to relax in and they are still not done with their events area. From what I can tell its going to be great. For two adults and an 8 year old, we paid $33 (non-military) they do have military discounts.

As a plant lover... this place was AMAZING! Loved the huge plants in the green houses and interesting varieties they had. My babes loved the kids section where you roll down a hill, and played with hula hoops/ tunnels to go through. Could spend a full 8 hours here no problem. Lovely little gift shop as well where you can take a plant home after your visit.

If you are traveling to San Antonio, Botanical Garden is a must see. It’s a tremendously beautiful place. The scenery, routes and so much amazing places in one single place!!! Make sure to bring your camera on hand because you sure will leave with a significant number of photos!!! There are many extraordinary places in San Antonio, like the river walk and the Alamo that you you can add to your visiting list as well. My first time I went to the Botanical Garden I basically stayed all day just taking magnificent pictures which is on my computer right now.

I can also suggest another superb place if you like bike. You can rent a bike downtown San Antonio and go on the mission trails. You can stop in each mission to visit and photo and still get a good amount of exercise.

I love this trail biking. I used to do every Sunday with my friends and every time would stop at the missions to observe the amazing architecture.

Hope this helps! I love sharing the good experience so you can also enjoy at your end. Any question, let me know! I live in San Antonio and can help in someone make your trip even more exciting to our awesomeness city!!!

Very fun place to go with kids. There is a special family section. My kids had a great time here.
There are quite a few different zones for plants. They had glass conservatories for tropical plants and for humid woodland plants. The flowers were varied and beautiful. Overall, the botanical garden was done really well.
