  Over the years over half a dozen spine surgeons have viewed my MRIs and recommended cervical surgery. Now even I feel it is time. Dr. Skerhut is the 4th surgeon I've met in person and who I've decided on. He lets you see your MRI images and answers all your questions. And his staff is good, too; friendly, professional, and competent. On a day a building fire drill put Dr behind, Front Office Manager Carmen kept a full waiting room calm even smiling. My cervical surgery is scheduled for end August. I'll let you know how it goes. Update: Surgery is indefinitely delayed due to heart arrhythmia.

  This Dr. is awesome, got me back on my feet. To the person who posted their review, if he was rude to you, you probably have the worst attitude or lowest self esteem in the world because this guy and his staff were the sweetest and most courteous people I've ever met....

  Very surprised at the two reviews that are posted. I too have been to Dr. Skerhut's office for surgery and had the most pleasant experience. His staff was very courteous and helpful in assisting me with the scheduling of my surgery. I was in a great amount of pain and already told by two previous surgeons that I would require surgery. I chose to stay with Dr. Skerhut because of his thoroughness in explaining the surgery. He is direct, but that is what I liked about him. I feel I made the right choice in having him do my surgery and could not be happier with the results. I can not remember the last time I was pain free and it is such a relief to be able to experience the upcoming holidays without being laid up in bed with pain. I would recommend Dr. Skerhut above any other neurosurgeon in San Antonio and would feel more then comfortable in referring my family and friends to him.
