  The hospitality you will receive here is as deep and genuine as the food itself. There is an incredible level of talent in their kitchen, as every item on the menu is prepared so perfectly. The seasoning is complex, yet balanced. Grilled items are unbelievably tender and have the perfect char. Order their mantoo dumplings, and you'll see their master craftsmanship at work. And as perfect as the preparation is, and as subtly unique as the cuisine is, every item retains a homemade feel. Entering this restaurant truly is like entering the home of the greatest cultural ambassadors of Afghanistan.

  Family owned and food quality is extremely consistent every single time I go. I get the mixed meat platter which comes with the best tasting rice in town. I usually go crazy on the menu but the owners son reminds me that the plate is huge and perhaps I should trade a rice plate out for Arabic bread. I also recommend the yogurt with cucumbers as a add-on. Out of this plate I would say 65% went home with me in a to-go bag. My son loves the atmosphere here and it’s truly the hidden jewel of San Antonio.

  Excellent food. I loved the chicken kabob platter. Good food for good price. Best part was the food was fresh and nice and hot.

  Good atmosphere and prices, with great service and delicious food. Staff were attentive, and while my dish took a second to come out (it was one of the lamb leg roast dishes), they explained that they were roasting a fresh batch. Well worth the wait, and I'll be happy to come back
