(January 16, 2019, 4:32 pm)I’m somewhat torn by this school. While I believe that my two daughters are doing well and I really appreciate the afterschool program I am disappointed at the lack of communication between the teachers and parents.
In an age of instant information and social networking you would think you would be informed of your kids’ progress. I feel very cut off from the day to day goings on of my children. Their homework is not very clear either.
Perhaps I am simply not aware of the tools to check on their progress but getting clear answers from the office can be a bit of challenge as well.
I also have gripes with the cafeteria and how they conduct business but I frankly don’t even want to go into it.
To be fair though I have to say I have seen real progress in my girls’ ability to read. They are very literate and the school has definitely scored major points there. My little one is only in kindergarten!
Math however is still a bit of struggle. Perhaps a liaison could spearhead a math program for kids and parents. Just a thought.
