I had a lap-band surgery six years ago, and have not really loved it from the beginning. I wanted an "easy" fix, and that isn't what weight loss surgery IS. I still had to plan and eat right and do all the right things and I wasn't doing that. Add to the fact that six years ago, the office had a different fill person, and I didn't set myself up for success. I ended up with an over-filled band for three+ years because I didn't mesh with the person that was doing fills! I recently went in because my discomfort was just too much to handle, thinking that my band slipped or some other major issue, and the new fill person, Nicole Harris changed my life! She took the time to listen to me and reduced the fill in my band, improving how I feel exponentially.
I started weight watchers recently, and am hopeful the combo of a working lap-band and the program will really help me become healthier.
