  Julie is the best! We used her services in 2007 on our first home renovation and again in 2017 on our second. Julie is professional, knowledgeable, talented and organized. She is a great listener and communicator, creative and observant with an excellent eye for design detail and for quality of materials as well as quality of craftsmanship. Julie was focused on follow through and was deadline-oriented, respectful of budgets, engaging and supportive of our ideas. Very important to us was Julie's gracious, patient, calm and positive demeanor and her ability to problem-solve relieving us of stress!

  I am a custom home builder who has had the privilege to work with Julie Risman of The Inside Story Design on a beautiful custom home this past year. Julie did an amazing job on all the selections and helped make our clients home turn out better than they even dreamed. Julie was great to work with and always available when needed.   Julie is a phenomenal designer. She goes to great lengths to understand what her clients want, and goes above and beyond in providing whatever they need to create a beautiful, well-designed, functional home. Her dedication and taste are both fabulous. I've recommended her many times!!

  Julie Risman and her team from the Inside Story Design helped my husband and me sort through years of accumulated "stuff" in an effort to downsize and simplify, yet retain those items that are truly meaningful. Julie offered a fresh (and neutral) perspective to "telling the blended story of our lives" through the way in which she helped us display pictures, cluster family collectibles, and our children's pictures, art, etc. She also has an excellent eye for color....and helped us pull together our family "theme" through fabric choices, and small details - like kitchen knobs, etc. This business is not just about "interior" decorating - the process (if you're willing) will help you have a home that showcases your very own, special story. - toni riester wood
