  Very good food and prompt service. The portions are respectable and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. The design aesthetic and colors are earthy and the dining area is low light. I hadn't tried their drink selections but the drink menu presented lots of options.

  J's is always a great food and service experience. Having been to this high end chain of restaurants with it's twin chain of Redlands Grill in many different States it is always the same high quality. Tonight just had to have the French Dip with coleslaw (that was hard not to get to those yummy fries) but had to get the special side of roasted beets.

  This restaurant is a hidden gem. I noticed it when I first drove through the area looking at properties and put them on my to do list. The restaurant is an example of excellence. The hostesses are friendly and know how to estimate. The bartenders are attentive and polite. The martini was excellent, chilled and the olives were fresh. They take the time to pour 75% of your martini and keep the other 25% chilled so you don't spill your drink. Our waitress was absolutely flawless. She was friendly, attentive, introduced herself, and our water glass never went empty. The manager stopped by to see if things were going well and welcome us. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium plus. We choose the chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. It's large enough for two and we devoured every morsel. The restroom was clean with plenty of towels. It was raining last night but the sun was shining inside a restaurant called J. Alexander's.

  While visiting with a business associate in San Antonio I was treated to a lunch at J. Alexander's Restaurant. An upscale dining venue located in The Quarry area. Excellent service throughout our time there. The food was prepared in a timely manner and was delicious. Highly recommended.

  Fantastic food! Very well-priced, to boot. I felt vastly underdressed on my visit, though, due to it being an impromptu meal choice while in the area. Nevertheless, wait staff was very friendly and cracked some jokes with us and made us feel comfortable. Did I mention the food was fantastic? The food was fantastic.
