(January 10, 2019, 5:19 pm)The outdoor classroom in Comanche Lookout is well designed and beautifully located. With the huge hewn boulders for seating, the covered pavilion has a degree of permanence. The Park & Boy/Cub Scout troops do a good job of maintaining the vegetation around classrooom & facilities. In all the four years walking in the park, I have never seen any classes in session nor any group using the facility. The Julia Yates Semmes Library is in charge of managing the use of Classroom. Observed several in facility who were either planning day's activity, reading, listening to music, mediating, relaxing, or sleeping overnight. It is a nice place to stop before or after walking on the Library Circle or Loop.
