“Sigma Mental Health is a great place to go if you’re not able to find a psychiatrist right away and need to speak to someone. They’re open on the weekends and have extended hours during the week. I spoke with one of the psychiatrist, Matthew Dietz. He’s really understanding and I felt like he cared about my situation. The receptionist was really nice and explained to me how the facility works and what to expect. They don’t prescribe controlled substances, they only prescribe 30 day supplies at a time and you have to visit monthly to get a new prescription written. This place really is there to help you in the mean time until you’re able to find a psychiatrist that’s accepting new patients or has open availability. It’s great because you don’t have to go to an emergency room or urgent care clinic and talk to a regular doctor who isn’t well versed in mental health. You’re able to speak to a psychiatrist for an hour, explain what’s going on, and come up with a plan to help you get through your rough patch. The pricing is a little high but they do tell you upfront how much the initial payment will be ($300) and how much each visit will be after ($150). They do ask you if you want a copy of the paperwork so you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Honestly, I am so happy to have found this place. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!”
