“The waitresses and the cooks here are AMAZING! WE were a party of 26 and we sat in the inside dining area. These 2 ladies were fast and very friendly and made you feel important not like your just a client eating there. The cooks made that food with such great taste and presentation. I will definitely be coming back for seconds!”

“Just attended their first opening day. Tried the baklava dessert and berry tarts. They are amazing and the most delicious desserts I have ever eaten. The reason I say that is because I do not like sweets. They were not overpowering sweet at all. Tried their apple, carrot juice, delicious. You must go by and try it, you won’t regret it!!!”

“Food was very good. I had the house salad with chicken and , which was excellent and very filling. The dressing was quite sweet, and I was glad I got it on the side, as I ended up not using it. My husband had the fish sandwich and fries, and loved both. Service was good and price was very reasonable.”

“Very homey little restaurant. It can be challenging to find parking outside as it gets pretty busy. The menu has a wide variety of all kinds of items. The paper menu they give you at the table is in addition to the one on the chalkboard of the wall. The chalkboard menu is apparently changing all the time as the items on it are special request by customers that are then named and added if they are interesting. The waitresses and cook knew many of the customers. It's a real neighborhood place. Portions were decent size, prices were fair and service was good. I would definitely come back here to try some more items.”

“Most excellent lunch. I went with the enchilada lunch plate. The service was fast and attentive. I liked the salsa with the chips and my main course was out promptly. Good flavor and more than I could eat with the rice and beans. Quite a lunch crowd with blue collar workers, tourists, and students filling almost all the tables. Would recommend highly!!! The flour tortillas were awesome - worth the visit by themselves.....”

“This is going to be my spot whenever I visit San Antonio. I got the zesty lemon garlic shrimp entree that came with DELICIOUS brown rice and a house salad. I never had that kind of brown rice before (the grains were fat) but it was BANGIN. The shrimp was so good and the salad was VERY tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and can't wait to come back.”

“Place is small and friendly, they have an assortment of games for you and your party to play while you wait for your food. They have a good variety of beer available if your into that. The menu isn't that big but that's not a problem. The side aren't your usual corn and mac, but more flavorful and original. The meats are nice and tender and the fat melts in your mouth. A must if your a carnivore.”

“First time I ate here was April 16, 2009. Was excellent. Stopped today for tacos for seniors at District 5. Raves from all who got one. Most raves from these folks about a place in two years. I have taken some excellent tacos often. From some good Mexican places.”

“Burgers were delicious. Mushrooms were good however a huge clump was fried and stuck together so center was a bit uncooked and gummy. We had to ask for our server but once she came she was friendly and outgoing. The show was a nice addition to the night. Great job ladies.”

“I haven't tried every BBQ spot in town but this place is my favorite so far. Service is always on point and the food... wow! My wife and I went for lunch and received our brisket and pork ribs fresh off the pit and delivered to us by the Pit Master himself. Potato salad and cream corn were delicious. Can't wait to go back!”

“Really like this place. It's a cool environment and the brunch is really good. I've tried a couple things from the menu and so far both have been great. We had a reservation so we didn't have to wait at all which was awesome because they were packed. They were out of a few drinks last time but other than that this place is fun, definitely check it out!”

“Looks like a dump of a place - service was good. Lunch time was busy but the food was AMAZING! Soup was HOT, I had the Walnut glazed shrimp and even though was not on the lunch menu- was willing to accommodate. Egg rolls were crunchy and great flavor. Crab rangoons were crispy as well and perfectly cooked. I eat Chinese food all over the United States and this place has really good food. Restaurant could use a complete makeover on the inside (looked a little rough) but waiter was prompt and attentive and food was delicious! Will be back when I visit San Antonio again”

“Great barbecue. Smoked properly super tender and not try. I went with my son just Graduated from the Air Force. We had the three meat platter with pulled pork, brisket, sausage. Everything was excellent not dry. Four stars because my son was in graduation uniform and he was not given a 10% military discount”

“As far as Tex-Mex restaurants go, I enjoy coming here with the family. The food is decent, the ambiance is great. The coffee is not too great unfortunately. Now remember this is a Tex-Mex restaurant not a authentic Mexican restaurant it is Tex-Mex so of course the salsa is more life tomato paste. All in all it is a nice restaurant so stop by and give it a try.”

“We sat in the bar, as Happy Hour drink specials could only be ordered in the bar area. The shrimp fondue was very tasty. We shared the catfish and shrimp and it was also very good. I'm not big on fish but the catfish was delicious. The only downside was that my husband found 2 bones in the fish. Even after that, I kept eating, it was it was *that good*. The fried shrimp, which is normally my favorite food, was okay. The fondue and catfish are the reasons I will make a return trip. Price was really good. We had 2 margaritas, 1 beer, shrimp fondue, catfish and shrimp plate all for $46 before tip. Service was also really good. And another plus, we went early (5:30pm) on a weekday so the restaurant was nice and quiet and not overly crowded.”
