“If it weren't for the Spanish Immersion Magnet School that NISD offers through Esparza Elementary my kids wouldn't go there. The teachers and admin are exceptional but it is a Title 1 School which means that the majority of families that are sending their kids to that school are considered low-income. Regardless of where the school is located the Spanish Immersion program there is fanominal!! The amazing kids that are accepted into this program, starting in Kinder & continuing through 5th grade, are immersed in the Spanish language learning not only to speak fluently but to read and write as well. The Immersion Program continues at Sul Ross Middle School which is directly across the street from Esparza. By the end of their 8th grade year they not only have their high school Foreign Language credit but their Foreign Language College credit. I can't say enough about this program, the teachers, school admin, etc. It's worth the drive everyday to drop off and pick up your child if you live in the NISD & this is not your feeder school.”

“We've been going to Ramona's # 2 for quite a few years and have never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The food and prices are great.I've tried most of the plates and have enjoyed them all. If you want an excellent meal for 2, try the parriada. It comes with beef and chicken fajitas, beans, rice tortillas, carnitas and sausage. For a little extra you can add shrimp. It is awesome.”
