“I ate lunch at Filipp's Cafe with my sister and our youngest children (1 year old twins and a 5 year old). We all had the fried shrimp, they were fresh, huge, and so delicious! Seasoned fries were also yummy. Friendly, courteous, old-fashioned, down-home service and fresh hand-battered goodness like you just don't find often. The place has a cool family history and a laid back feel. Truly a hidden gem. I travel to Danbury every couple of months and look forward to the next opportunity to eat here.”

My server Kai was very friendly and gave me good recommendations on the menu as a first timer. Her attentiveness is honestly one of the reasons I would come back because I appreciate good customer service. The wings here were great and the sauces I tried didn't taste synthetic like Buffalo Wild Wings and they had some variations on the standard buffalo wing sauce besides heat level. They offered a great special on the wings too. The only downside for me was the size of the wings. I easily finished 30 of them and I still had some room for more. But of course, I thought the deal they had (pay the same for double the wings) for just a quick lunch break was a great value and I didn't want to order more than I could eat. I will definitely come back if I'm in the mood for some wings.”

“I just bought me some property out in Danbury. Wanted to eat before driving back to Friendswood. What a wonderful group of ladies and there food was amazing. I probably should of gotten some of my food to go. But instead I finished all of my stake and mashed potatoes and fried okra. The steak was amazing and perfectly cooked. To top the night off I went all out and got some of there banana pudding. That was out of this world. Its 8pm on a Friday night and all I want to do is lay down and go to sleep. What great people and great food. Cant wait to go back next Friday.”
