Isabel Pierce Sem Elementary School

In the past 6 years, Sem Elementary has not been without it's problems. Over all, with the funding they're given and the restrictions they have to work within I believe they do a wonderful job. The teachers we have had in our years at Sem have been caring, dedicated, and well-intentioned. The principals and specials staff have come and gone, and we have enjoyed working with them all. My children have always felt safe and supported in their classrooms, and I have felt validated and supported in ARD meetings and parent/teacher conferences. The receptionist at the front office is a bit gruff, but she gets the job done, ha! My main concern with Sem is the high turnover in teaching staff every year. I hope to see it improve, as we have several more years to invest there.
p.s. I think some of the previous commenters have actually been children upset about homework - so keep that in mind if you're looking at sending your kids to this school.
