  Heather was freaking absolutely amazing especially hearing she only been there a month. I brought my daughter in, she just got her first job and saved first ✔ for 📱, we had got everything we needed but only 4 🌟 because ive beena customer for 12 years and no promotions for adding a line wow🙄 only new customers and that's the second best deal

  I have had a desire to play guitar proficiently and write music for many years. I am 45 years old and up until a few months ago when I joined School of Rock, had been floundering around, trying to teach myself guitar for a few years, not making much progress. I recently hit a plateau and was quickly losing interest – I had no desire to practice or play and had no friends or network around me to help encourage me.
  I had seen the signs for school of rock and had heard about it through a co-worker - so one Wednesday afternoon out of the blue, I decided to call just to "see what it was about". Seth answered and was awesome from the very beginning – very welcoming and made it clear that it was a very relaxed, environment, which was very encouraging as I was a little hesitant to call and felt intimidated as I am not a very good guitar player (YET).
  He invited in that evening for a free trial lesson and to observe the adult band rehearsal. I went in that evening - the group was great and from that very first evening I knew I had made the right decision to call. The next day I called back and signed on for weekly lessons and joined the adult group, and from that point things have been moving fast and I love every minute of it. I love the comradery of my bandmates and the staff, which feel like part of the group -- they are fun, great people and amazing musicians – I do not feel intimidated one bit.
  On the adult group side, I love playing music with others - I have never played music with a group/band, so it is exposing me to many things I would have never seen practicing on my own. I have also never performed on stage, which I did this past weekend for the very first time with the adult group mid-season show, and I can’t wait to do it again. Everyone is supportive and the atmosphere is very encouraging – no fear of failure and there is no judgement – we are all just there to learn, have a good time and support one another – all with a sense of responsibility to our bandmates. I love that I am held accountable for my songs and have weekly rehearsal - it pushes me to learn.
  On my 1-on-1 lesson side, Zach is amazing -- I did not know what guitar lessons would entail as I have never had a lesson before. I never knew I would be interested in or would enjoy learning music theory but I am loving it and can’t wait for my weekly lesson. It has me excited about music in ways I wasn’t even aware of before. I see things in music that I never saw before – and I am starting to be able to make sense of things that seemed mystical – its much less frustrating knowing even a little bit of the formula that people apply to music making. I am amazed at how much I have learned in such a short period of time and how excited I am to continue learning. Zach does a great job of relating all the theory back to practical examples and uses that help cement the knowledge – I’m given concrete assignments to practice on each week, that help me learn while still enjoying the process.
  I have been with SOR for about 7 weeks now and can say that I have progressed more than I have the past year and much more than I had expected walking into this . My confidence level is high and growing and after doing my first "live" show this past weekend, I know that this is the path for me. None of this would have been possible without that first call, without the great staff and instructors and without the great music community of students at McKinney School of Rock.

  I don’t know where to start - I have been so incredibly impressed with this program and the staff at School of Rock McKinney. My 8 year old went from never playing any instrument to playing drums, keyboard, and singing in a band of his peers in a matter of months. He is not only learning the songs his band will play at their concerts, but is receiving an excellent education in musical theory.
  I don’t believe I’ve ever worked with a business which has such an enthusiastic and friendly staff. They are absolutely amazing.

  We have had a consistent lesson and band experience even during the current situation. We have had great communication through email and phone calls. This has been a great experience for us.

  Great, fun atmosphere! Our son is in his 3rd year of percussion in middle school and School of Rock has helped him learn so much already. We signed him up in the beginning of June 2019. He is so much more confident playing drums and has felt comfortable right from the start! The teachers send the parents a quick email after each private lesson as well. Great program, highly recommend. Worth the money:)
